Cookie Policy

The small set of cookies we set, what each one does, and how to clear them.

Last updated: May 2026 · Effective on launch

What we use, and why

We set the smallest set of cookies and similar storage that makes the site work, plus two optional analytics tools you can switch off. We do not run advertising trackers, we do not fingerprint, we do not sell anything.

Strictly necessary

These cannot be turned off without breaking the site.

  • Authentication session — keeps you signed in across pages. HTTP-only, secure, same-site. Expires when you sign out or after a long inactivity window.
  • Language preference — remembers whether you chose Czech or English so the next visit lands in the right locale.
  • Theme preference — remembers whether you chose the dark twilight theme or the light library theme for surfaces that let you switch.
  • Guest game token — a small signed token that lets you finish a game in progress without creating an account. Deleted when you sign in or when the game ends.

Anti-abuse

When you submit a Travel request we run a one-shot anti-bot challenge that may set a short-lived cookie scoped to its own domain. This is used purely to confirm a real person clicked the button, then expires. We never receive personal data from it.

Optional analytics

We use two third-party tools to understand how the site is used. You can switch them off here — your choice is remembered for 13 months.

  • Google Analytics 4 — aggregate usage (which pages and features people open). IP addresses are anonymized; ad-personalization signals are turned off. Cookies _ga and _ga_*, retained up to two years.
  • Microsoft Clarity — anonymized session recordings and heatmaps so we can see where the experience snags. Inputs and other sensitive elements are masked by default. Cookies _clck (up to one year) and _clsk (one day).

Separately, we log JavaScript and server errors to Sentry so we can fix them. Sentry runs cookie-less and strips personal identifiers before sending — it is part of strictly-necessary operation and is not covered by the toggle below.

Your choice

Switching off blocks both Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity from the next page load. The choice is stored in a small cookie named tm_consent for 13 months. Clear your browser cookies for this site to reset it.

No advertising

We do not show advertising. We do not place advertising cookies. We do not sell or share your browsing behaviour with ad networks. If that ever changes, the option to opt out will be on by default, not the other way around.

How to clear cookies

You can delete site cookies at any time in your browser settings (Safari → Settings → Privacy, Chrome → Settings → Privacy, Firefox → Settings → Privacy & Security). On your next visit a fresh set of strictly-necessary cookies will be set; you will be signed out and your language preference will reset.

Changes

We’ll update this page when our use of cookies changes materially and surface a notice on sign-in for at least 14 days.
